I just got off the phone with Aunt Phyllis.
There's a meeting going on with family members at this very minute to decide what's best for Carol. She needs care around the clock. Aunt Phyllis says it's very difficult for lay people to tend to her needs. Leslie stayed with Carol through the night, but couldn't give her the kind of care she requires.
They're discussing putting Carol in a hospice facility, where there is a professional staff that has expertise in dealing with critically ill patients.
She is still in a lot of pain, despite all of the meds she is taking.
Such hard decisions, but important ones to give Carol the very best care available.
All of this has happened so quickly, it's difficult to wrap your head around it. Let's pray that the doctors can find a way to alleviate her pain so she won't have to suffer like this.

This is Ken Johnson a friend of JUNES AND ESPECIALLY Carol. We became dear friends during the ned of last year and when everyone went on the cruise in January. I'm the one she kept telling what I could eat and what I could do.Carol forced me to wake up and realize that I could walk more than I did by just pushing the wheelchair. By the end of the 12 days I was dancing and walking all over the ship.Carol is a very strong influence on anyone she meets and I'd hate to see her in a hospice room. I've had too many people do that and it isn't pleasant at all. If you could get hospice to give you a few pointers on how to care for her at night and let her stay at home with her loved ones and her deepest love Fred.I know that is what I would want and I think Carol would too. Sorry for sticking my 2 cents in but she became very important to me getting out of my depression and realizing that I had a lot to live for and could still do my travel business with her. Ask Her what she would like and let her decide. At hospice all they do is give them extra shots to keep the pain away but then they become very out of it all the time and don't recognize anyone anymore.
